Not what they usually mean by 'check that guy out'

Site du jour: $20 to check the man out before you start dating seriously? Is that wise or foolish?

Goal for the month: 30 days of a sort, shred, file or purge fest.
Done. For today. 28 more days to go. Turns out purging involves actual thinking. That's going to slow progress down a bit. Still, it was good. I got into a rhythm, going through boxes and assigning things homes.

Goal for the week: Get out of the house by 7:30 damn it! (Going to conquer this one.)
Fail. Oh, just shoot me now and be done with it. Got to sleep by 1 a.m.

Exercise du jour:
Rowing 30 minutes
Done!

Walk to/from work
Semi-sorta done. I mean, I walked at lunch. Does that count?

Week 1 day 2 of the 200 squat challenge.
Done!

These days, it might be wise indeed. Unless you want to do it yourself.

Any way you can trick yourself into waking earlier? Like resetting your clock?

MessyM, I need to get more disciplined about getting to sleep (not just to bed) at a reasonable hour. It's depressing to realize that my parents were right all along :(

I don't think you need to pay $20 -- I could be wrong. Sex offenders are public record. I wonder about the rest. Maybe there are paper-pushing fees.

I noticed it said on the site: "Specific criteria for failure will not be disclosed as per our legal policy." I would want to know the details. That would sure be awkward to bring up. "I like you, but you failed a background check. Did you do something horrible, or was it just an itsy-bitsy crime, a misunderstanding, or a set-up?"

You are now a link on my site! And yeah, my parents were right about me too, but they got over it.

Just google the person and do your own Internet sleuthing. Use some common sense when you meet and start dating anyone. If you go through the trouble of a background check, I would think you are too paranoid and probably need to stay indoors and lock all the doors and windows. Seriously.

Btw, that was supposed to be a general comment, not 'you' personally.

I think some people get too paranoid about dating, or they take it wayyyyyyyy to serious. Sometimes sharing dinner or just meeting for coffee is just sharing dinner and meeting for coffee.

No worries. I didn't take it personally :)
