Weak 4 of the push up challenge (no, not a typo)

Week four of the push up challenge... the week that separates the women from the girls, the wheat from the chaff, the fit from the flab (or so I hope).

In other words, the push ups are starting to take a bit longer to do than previously. Since Monday was a wash, I pushed the p/s challenges to a day all week.

Exercise du jour:

90 minutes bicycling

- and -

Week 4 of the (full) 100 push up challenge --not done
Day 2
(90 seconds rest in between)
Set 1 - 20
Set 2 - 25
Set 3 - 20
Set 4 - 20
Set 5 - 28

Over 100 push ups!

Week 4 of the 200 sit ups challenge
(60 seconds rest in between)
Day 2
Set 1 - 30
Set 2 - 38
Set 3 - 30
Set 4 - 30
Set 5 - 42

Note to self: combining the cycling and the challenges = bad idea. There's not enough time in the day for both and all the things I have to get done. I'm okay with repeating this week. It's a challenge, not a race. I'll get through it eventually.

Oh Merry. You are putting me to shame. I am such a wimp.

JavaChick, I'm definitely going to leave more rest time between the sets.
But it is amazing how much you can do if you just increase it a little each week. I just found myself thinking "well, I'll just do the first 20 before breakfast." Holy frick! Seven months ago I couldn't do 1 single push up, and now 20 before breakfast?

And then I did the 25 and wanted to quit the whole challenge right then. Wah :(

I'm trying to think of something devastatingly negative to say here.

Hang on, I'm thinking.

Nope, can't do it.

Was that negative enough? No?

Damn.

How about: 5 - 10 = -5

unchyper: seems appropriate

Ouch! Ouch ouch!
Geez, the neg-o-meter's going off the scale here. I'm not sure I can cope.
And I keep thinking it's Friday, and it's not! I have to go back to work tomorrow! I want to complain! Argh!

Wait, wait! I thought of another negative comment:

If you invite me to have dinner at your house and you serve lima beans, I WILL NOT EAT THEM! Not even if threats ensue. Nope, my mind is made up. I will not. I'm positive.

Uh, wait a minute. Did I just negate the negativity with positivity? Is my battery still holding a charge? Do two rights make a wrong, or just a dysfunctional U-turn?

And just why is it you've never invited me to your house for dinner anyway?horthen: n., pl., what one calls heathens who live in the north

Ha! I invited you to breakfast lunch and dinner, and did you say yes to any of those? Noooooo. Just on the pedantic grounds that there would be other guests who'd love to see you and say nice things to you and maybe even give you a hug. O, the horror.

Yeah, well, you should have stopped at dinner. "Nice things and hugs" are scary. We introverts are weird that way.

I do seem to recall there were impediments involving several plane flights and most of a continent to cross as well. Just saying. You could move closer.

I'm still not going to eat your lima beans.
