Quote du jour: Nothing will work unless you do.
- Maya Angelou

Feel a bit up in the air. Can't concentrate on exercise because I'm spending a lot of my time focusing on getting a job or fixing the one I've got. Going to see the manager of the department today to see if something can be done. Sent 5 résumés out last night. A couple of the jobs were pretty good fits for what I can do, another was a long shot, one was 'meh' and the last one was sent to a former co-worker whose new company might need somebody.

Exercise du jour: I will aim for 4 miles of walking a day. I know, I know, it's not pushing myself to do this. This week, maintenance is all I am asking of myself.

I'm sorry that the new job is sucky. Hopefully they will make it right, or you get a great offer somewhere else and can kiss this one goodbye!

And this is why I love the National Health Service. I know it has it's problems, but I never have to worry about this stuff. Until I move back to the states that is and then I'm screwed like you.

Keep your chin up, Merry.

Good luck, on job and exercise both.

Aw Merry! Sounds stressful. Good luck!

Good luck, Merry. Our health system here in NZ is modelled on the UK NHS and has its problems too, but most of the time it works.

I'm impressed by your determination and the momentum you have created, and keep pushing along, even though it's all uphill. Don't give up.

Never give up, never surrender... okay, maybe go for the tomorrow is another day approach. Got 4 hours of sleep last night, and it's turning me into Ms. Grumpy.
Um... more so than usual, that is.

Hey now, maintaining that four miles of walking is totally valid! Sorry for the job drama. Stupid health insurance shit!

Damn, four hours of sleep just isn't enough--how frustrating! Sorry to hear the job stuff is still problematic. Hang in there, and who knows, maybe the insurance snafu will turn out to be a good thing if it leads to you finding new & improved job opportunities.

I hope the finding and the fixing works out for you!

It makes such a difference when you are doing work that you love. I made a complete change in my lifestyle and became a housesitter. I love it and it spills over into other areas of my life where I am more motivated and just plain happier. I hope you find something just right for you soon
