Inner Slug: 1 Mary: 0

Interesting how looking at an exercise session from the Before side, it always seems much longer and more onerous than it really is.

When looking at an exercise session in hindsight, I always wonder “Why was I putting this off? It wasn’t that hard.”

Worrisome how I have to keep repeating the same lessons in Life. I already know this, damn it. The hardest part about riding my bicycle to work is Getting On The Bike. Once I’m going, it’s much easier.

So why am I sitting here procrastinating about cycling to work? Again?

So if you figure out how to learn this lesson once and for all, will you tell me how please?

I've been trying to master this for about 30 years now. (Before that I was young enough not to even think about it--just to run around and ride my bike because I was actually eager to. Wish I could get that back!).

Do yo uwant me to call you every morning and ask if you're riding your bicycle?

If it helps any, knowing you're going to read my blog, gets me out the door in running shoes and a walking attitude.

I do this too. I know of people who go out and run first thing in the morning so they get their work out in and there are no excuses to miss it later in the day.

I typically do 1 mile in the morning and 1 mile in the evening so I beat myself up twice a day.

I hear you, I always say, this isnt so bad when I am doing it or finsihed, its the BEFORE that kills me. Just shut your brain off until its over. I know I know, much easier said than done.

My inner slug was been winning over the past few days as well. It didn't help that I stayed up late reading the other night and got my schedule all out of whack.

Tonight, though, I will go for a run. Must earn glittery star.

I stayed up late finishing a book, reading not writing, sadly. It was a great book(I hate Greg Iles he always does this to me)No walking today. I had a good reason for easing back into it. This week was two days, next week it will be three days a week. But I went three days without eating any junk. I slipped last night with a couple of Halloween bite size chocolate bars. Back on the wagon today.
