Goal of the month: Day 17 of my 30 days of throwing stuff back. Or out. I don't need all these possessions.
Done! Not as much as I'd like, but considering I got home wet, bedraggled, and grumpy, some is better than none.
Goal of the week: Out the door by 7:30. In the a.m., not the p.m. Sounds so simple.
Fail. Not nearly as bad a fail as yesterday (8:30 rather than 9:30) but still, worse than the day before (8). Wish I could report success on this goal, but I'm still struggling.
Exercise du jour: C25k week 4.
Brisk five-minute warmup walk, then:
- Jog 1/4 mile (or 3 minutes)
- Walk 1/8 mile (or 90 seconds)
- Jog 1/2 mile (or 5 minutes)
- Walk 1/4 mile (or 2-1/2 minutes)
- Jog 1/4 mile (or 3 minutes)
- Walk 1/8 mile (or 90 seconds)
- Jog 1/2 mile (or 5 minutes)

You'll be sprinting through a 5K in no time.
I want to do a 30-day 5k, like you!
woo-hoo! Awesome. Keep up the good work!
From your last post, first, you have truly EXCELLENT friends, you lucky girl you.
Second, all ww groups are not equal. If you aren't getting what you need, try another time or location. Because the emphasis should be on something other than the scale. It should, at the very least, be on how you look and feel at whatever weight you find yourself that day. And, yeah, when you are short, 2 pounds looks like 10 on a taller person. And is about as hard to shed.

It never ceases to amaze me how much stuff we have. We as in most of the people in Canada, but we as in me personally. One of my projects recently has been to get the basement organized better, which has forced me to confront the amazing amounts. Much of it I wonder how or why we ever got it in the first place. I often wish there was a way to recycle it to people that could actually use it in it's current form.
Love the quote.
When I walk into my closet or pantry or see my desk, I think of you and wonder how your purging de stuff is going. I can't wait to get back to doing it, too, now that I'm finished with my folks' home.
Again, love the quote.
Your house will feel so much lighter, as will your life, when you have gotten rid of all those things.
It's like getting fit and losing weight, a little a day doesn't seem like you are doing much, but it adds up.
I read this somewhere (which means there could be actual science to back it up) that being cold does burn more calories than being warm. So the temperature of the splashed water might have given you that crucial edge you needed.
On the the other hand, I sprinted through a parking lot today, trying to dodge the rain. Not so successful in the dogding, but certainly got my heart rate up.
