Bicycling is an international conspiracy!

This politician in Colorado put a new spin, so to speak, on bicycle riding.

Republican gubernatorial candidate Dan Maes is warning voters that Denver Mayor John Hickenlooper's policies, particularly his efforts to boost bike riding, are "converting Denver into a United Nations community."

"This is all very well-disguised, but it will be exposed," Maes told about 50 supporters who showed up at a campaign rally last week in Centennial.

Maes said in a later interview that he once thought the mayor's efforts to promote cycling and other environmental initiatives were harmless and well-meaning. Now he realizes "that's exactly the attitude they want you to have."

"This is bigger than it looks like on the surface, and it could threaten our personal freedoms," Maes said.

You thought riding a bicycle was harmless enough? Ha! That's just what they want you to think, you fool!

Exercise du jour: 3 miles jogging. Gotta get that run in now, before it becomes a constitutional issue.
Done! A day late, but I blame that on the international conspiracy.

Anybody who carries around sharp pointy things, even disguised with yarn, must have an agenda! Think of the bicycle spokes!

In my day, we didn't have all these Yarn Freaks, Bead Queens, and Quilt Crazies out there undermining America.

Some people keep their minds so open their brains fall out. Some keep them so closed no new ideas get in. Sad.

OMG!!!! Who knew that by biking to work I was propagating a communist/U.N ('cause it's the same thing, right?) plot! I just thought I was saving money on gas and getting some exercise!
Thank goodness the Tea Party is here to keep us dependent on foreign oil. Otherwise WHO KNOWS what could happen? We might end up-GASP- using something like solar or wind power, and that just won't do, AT ALL!

Merry, you anarchist, you.

It's so nice to know that the west has an equal share of whack jobs. I'd hate to think we were hoarding them over here on the right coast.

nityahs - the taunting cry of Denver bicyclists.
