Cannon Beach, Haystack rock |
Poem du jour:
maggie and millie and molly and may
went down to the beach (to play one day)
and maggie discovered a shell that sang
so sweetly she couldn't remember her troubles, and
millie befriended a stranded star
whose rays five languid fingers were;
and molly was chased by a horrible thing
which raced sideways while blowing bubbles:and
may came home with a smooth round stone
as small as a world and as large as alone.
For whatever we lose (like a you or a me)
it's always ourselves we find in the sea.

Giveaway du jour: Time for another challenge. I'm going to find a book that I can give away. I can do this.
I'm being flexible with this giveaway stuff. Gave away a vase. Wasn't using it, didn't have a place for it any longer, let it find a home where it will be loved and appreciated. Or at least used.
Exercise du jour: Rania's Personal Trainer DVD, arms and abs.
It's almost 11 pm and I've just finished writing up a post for Cranky Fitness. In other words, short kettlebell arm exercises sounded really good tonight.
Next day update: good idea to use the heavier kettlebell, Dickens, for the arm exercises. Definitely felt slightly sore the next day, so at least the quickie had some effect.

Love the poem! Thanks for posting it. I needed that visual today.
And congrats on your exercise progress. You've come a long way, baby!
