Notes to self:
There's always going to be someone who can run farther or faster than I can.
There's always going to be someone who loses weight quicker and easier* than I do.
There's always going to be something I want that I don't have.
There's always going to be something that I don't like about myself.
Get used to it.
And keep moving.
Exercise du jour: Yoga.
Walked for an hour, so I'm putting up the star even if I didn't actually do the yoga. Any exercise is good.
*At least, it looks easy to an outsider

I have a little something for ya at my blog. :)
And I am not doing this for anyone other than myself. It's my journey, at my pace.
Enjoy the yoga!
I think being the fastest, quickest lose with everything would sort of suck anyway. The only place to go is down. And what do you have left to strive for? It sounds boring and stressful.
Brilliance!
You betcha!! Well stated.
EXACTLY :)
Mmmmm, yoga. I know what you're saying. I like your "and keep moving". So true.
Dear Merry,
When did you take up residence in my head?

Shelley
Another "Amen" from the choir loft.
I like your point of view! Have a great day!
Ugh such good reminders!
Hey Merry - I really like my Nike+ - I got the sportsband (in pink/white - so cute!) because I didn't want to be tied to an iPod, and I actually don't like running (so far) with headphones. It's really easy to use - I can see how long I've been running in both time and distance, and it tells me my pace. Then after the run I upload it to the website and it keeps track of everything. I'm not explaining it real well, but it's very cool. And simple to use, which the Garmin is not - I'll keep using the Nike+ for a long while out of simplicity, I think!
And there's always going to be someone (me) standing there in complete awe and saying things like, "How the hell did she DO that?" and "Damn it, if I worked that hard, probably I could do the same exact thing. Probably." [telling pause] "Okay, maybe not."
eamaro: slang pronunciation of the conjunction: "yeah, maybe tomorrow"
Love this! Nothing to do but move on!
You are so right.
I know lots of people who would climb back inside,
off of the proverbial window ledge,
if they could just get this!
