Forcing myself to exercise

Completely inapplicable quote du jour: The question isn't who is going to let me; it's who is going to stop me. - Ayn Rand
Today, the question isn't who's going to let me, it's who's going to make me exercise. It's cold out -- February rather than May -- and it's damp and I'm tired and ... oh, you know the story.
I'm not going to get off my ever-expanding assets and exercise unless I do something drastic.
Like telling you that I'm going to exercise.
'Cause I know you. You'll come back and check later to make sure the gold star of success is pasted.
And on days like this, I appreciate help.
Exercise du jour: 22 minutes with Ellie. And we'll go on from there.
Done! I'm redder than Xenia after a hot marathon, but it's done. So I've accomplished One Thing today. Thanks to you!

Yes, I'll be back. Said with a properly Arnold-esk (-esque?) voice.
redness - What kind of a word verification is that? It properly describes Xenia at the moment, but as a word verification? Really?
and if you spend that 22 mins w/ Ellie, you can thank her with a glass (yes 1 glass) of wine.
It's the opposite here - hot and muggy. I have a horrible time getting my exercise in when it's muggy outside (even when I'm in the air conditioning.)
Hot? Muggy? Must find dictionary. Today is an absolutely beautiful day... for February.
LaShaune, I did ask Ellie if she wanted the wine. I think she'd prefer some oil -- she's awfully clanky. The dog was perturbed.
Theresa, thanks for the warning! Your Austrian-Californian accent was most convincing, and helped me get my butt in gear.
I was going to threaten that I would run tomorrow if you spent quality time with Ellie today. But since you've already done that, I guess I don't need to threaten.
Oh well. Good job on getting your One Thing today!
Two days later and I'm still red, so I think I beat you on that score.
Way to go for taking drastic measures to make sure you got it done!
Good job. :)
I like the Ann Rand quote!
I'll trade places with you. It's in the 90s and humid today in Boston and I hate it.
Congrats on earning your gold star.
I love the Ayn Rand quote. Atlas Shrugged was one of my all-time favorite books. What's yours?
Not sure I could pick just a few all-time favorite books. Must ponder this.
LOVE LOVE the quote!!! Thank you - it brightened my day!!!!!! THANK YOU.
