Those who fail to plan, plan to make up for it with a mad dash first thing in the morning

Which results in totally skimpy blog posts.

Quote du jour:
A broad margin of leisure is as beautiful in a man's life as in a book. Haste makes waste, no less in life than in housekeeping. Keep the time, observe the hours of the universe, not of the cars.
- Henry David Thoreau

There are times when I wonder about Henry David. Did he ever have to haul himself out of bed to catch a Max train that wouldn't wait? I think not.

Exercise du jour: Me + 4 miles walking + 15 minutes ellipticaling = 1 gold star

Done! Finally. Took a lot of guilt to get on that damn elliptical tonight.

  1. Of course he didn't. Once Emerson took an interest in him, he ... oh, i'm sorry, that was rhetorical, wasn't it? Been getting up in the night with sick kittens, makes me fuzzy, sorry.

Good luck, i believe you can.

  2. Bet he never stayed up nursing sick kitties either. Writers. Hmph.

  3. He lived by a lake and wrote about leaves. You better believe that he was in bed till noon every day and then just sat on his bum all day drinking coffee and contemplating the ripples on the lake. The bum.

  4. Hee!
He wrote some nice stuff, though. And Walden Pond IS lovely. Don't think I'd want to leave if I lived there, either. 'Course, these days I'd get arrested for trespassing...

  5. Hmmnn... so, maybe he didn't nurse sick kitties or bother to get up to catch a Max train. Still, he managed to loaf around and write books while looking at some awfully pretty scenery. Maybe Thoreau had the right idea after all...

Hey there! I was hoping you'd make it this far. Kind comments are worth more than coronets. Especially yours.
